Finally! I can try out a guitar in a music store and pretend I know how to do Power trio HEAVY riffing! – LOL
Seriously, though as a rhythm player I’, far more into this style of playing – connecting lines and riffs w/ chords, than jumping from chords to leads. Does a portion of your program highlight that style of playing? As in, teaching you this sort of concept? I, for one (as a singing guitarist) find the idea of jumping from chords to fatter embellishments, such as these truly more exciting, and interesting than ripping on single notes with hammer on’s and pull-offs.
Both have merit, but this is the kind of style, I truly want to pursue. I’m a bit of a slow hand, but I truly find the bombastic nature of playing like this far more effective, and gratifying than flying leads.
Hey Terry, there’s rhythm and chord lessons in all of the pro jams as well as the lessons in Jammin with the band. We don’t focus solely on that, but always give you the training in each lesson to learn what the chord progression is and how to play it.
