RGPTV – Episode 4 – Recording and Arranging Ideas In Logic
Welcome to a new episode of Rock Guitar Power TV!
In this video I am going to show you how I record and arrange my ideas in a software program called Logic. Along with using Logic, I also use a program called pro tools to record my ideas. Logic is great because it’s easy to use and has a lot of loops that are easy to work with that help me write. I’m also going to show you how I create backing tracks to jam along to.
The main thing to keep in mind when working this way is to be very precise on your rhythm. I do a lot of looping where I cut and paste ideas so it’s important to make sure your rhythm is dead on so that the parts loop well.
Check out the video to see how I do this:
It's very important to have installed at home some kind of software which will permit you to record all of your guitar ideas. All this ideas gathered in one place will be your digital library of fresh riffs, solos and rhythms. Believe me that this will help a lot when your imagination will stop working while you will be composing a song. The bigger your library will be, the richer musician you will feel!
